Between the busyness of the end of season and the wish to not annoy 😬 we haven't posted much about our club lotto these last few months so here is an update firstly to reaffirm our thanks and secondly give you an idea of what it goes towards.
So, for your support and generosity - thank you. It really is making a difference and we really do appreciate it.
What have we used it for?
While we haven't raised a huge amount, every little helps. Our initial goal was to ensure we didn't end up out of pocket and that we made the lotto self sufficient - for now that is the case but here's hoping there's a winner soon! 😜
After this, our goal was to start to supplement club activities as much as possible. How have we done this? Well to name a few things.
We've engaged in a lot of upgrades / investment this year. While this has mainly been via prudent planning over the years and while the lotto certainly doesn't cover the costs, the intention is naturally for our lotto to assist while also providing a sense of community and fun in the club. We feel as though this is happening and we're excited to grow it further.
The Club lotto is helping with Cap investment in a space where our access to funding is hampered by our tenancy. This year we have fully funded new main baskets and new lights in the hall. Add to this our ongoing preventative (and reactive!🙈) maintenance and these costs are quite significant.
We have upgraded and invested in a HUGE amount of new team gear across the 13 teams while we have also invested in new basketballs and supporting aids and courses for coaches.
We have sent two teams to the All Ireland Club Championships and we have seen every team in the club reach the Top 4 end of season competitions.
The intention is for this post to provide some transparency about what are Club Lotto is - a vital club support providing a wonderful additional fundraising route, and, also what it is not - simply a black hole with no information on how it is being used.
So. Thank you for supporting, thank you for taking part every week and thank you for committing to the club in this way. This is what makes our club #somelittleclub
If you can sign up to a once off ticket or even better,, to a recurring ticket then you can do so by clicking the clubhouse tab and following the link to the Lotto. Please feel free to share the page that opens, you don't have to be a member of the club to play and signing up is very quick and easy!
